WOODFORD DONATES TO CAMBRIDGE PLACE

At Woodford Oil Co., we believe in the importance of giving back to our local communities. Just recently, our Danville, KY, plant was happy to support the Making Memories program at Cambridge Place, a skilled nursing facility in Lexington, KY.

“Cambridge Place put out a call for some help in reuniting a long-time resident with her family in Texas,” said Scott Hacker, Woodford Oil’s Danville, KY regional manager. “We wanted to do our part and thought it would be great to donate a fuel card to cover the cost of gas for the family to travel to Lexington and back.”

Through the Making Memories program, Cambridge Place asks residents if they had one wish, what would it be? And then they try to make it happen. Cambridge resident Lorraine Fazarro asked to see her son and grandchildren. Fazarro has never seen her teenage grandchildren in person, and due to cost issues, her family has been unable to visit her. The fuel card will allow the family to pay for the trip from Texas to Kentucky and back.

Cambridge Place is now looking for assistance to cover the family’s hotel stay. To learn more, check out Cambridge Place’s Facebook page. And read more about the effort here.
