Woodford is pleased to sponsor and participate in the Tri-State Coal Operators Association’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament taking place July 16 at Preston County Country Club in Kingwood, WV.
The Tri-State Coal Operators Association is a non-profit group responsible for ensuring that two mine rescue teams are trained and outfitted to respond to significant accidents, emergencies or other events at local mines. In addition to participating in monthly training, the teams are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist fellow miners in an emergency situation.
The annual golf tournament raises a significant portion of the funds necessary for the mine rescue teams. We’re looking forward to a great tournament in Kingwood, and hope to see you there, too!
